Resumidamente, é um exercício que controla sua respiração. De acordo com  o stress, a ansiedade, os nervos e até substâncias como a cafeína, alteram nosso organismo e nos levam a respirar de forma bem errada.

A técnica ajuda a devolver a concentração de gases no sangue a níveis normais, além de baixar o ritmo cardíaco. Se você é daqueles que têm problemas para dormir, confira o passo a passo a faça o teste:
1. Expire somente pela sua boca deixando todo o ar sair, empurrando-o com a bochecha até fazer um som de assopro nos lábios;
2. Feche a boca e inspire pelo nariz contando até 4;
3. Pare a respiração e conte mentalmente até o número 7 , mantendo o ar nos pulmões;
4. Expire completamente pela boca com um som de assopro e conte até 8.

It seems incredible, but it is a natural technical and scientific base that sustains it. Who teaches is Dr. Andrew Weil, PhD from Harvard Medical School, USA. Called "4-7-8" technique promises to make you sleep in a minute. Briefly, it is an exercise that controls your breathing. Under stress, anxiety, nerves and even substances such as caffeine, they alter our organism and lead us to breathe and wrongly. The technique helps return the concentration of gases in the blood to normal levels, and lower the heart rate. If you are those who have trouble sleeping, check out the step by step to do the test: 

1. Breathe only through your mouth letting all the air out, pushing him with her cheek to make a sound blowing on his lips; 

2. Close your mouth and inhale through your nose for a count of 4; 

3. Stop the breath and mentally count to 7, keeping the air in the lungs; 

4. Exhale completely through your mouth with a sound of breath and count to 8.
